i'm jenna, a software developer with a passion for programming and people

I'm a recent graduate of Tech Elevator's full-stack bootcamp, where I developed skills in Java and JavaScript and discovered that I really like to make computers do things.

These days, you can find me building programs, coding daily, and probably not getting as much sun as I should be.

things i'm good at

Before I found a love of software development, I spent years bartending, working in healthcare, and teaching improv comedy. These fields and their unique challenges pushed me to become an effective communicator, a valuable teammate, and a highly creative thinker. A few of my other strengths include:

  • Writing clean code
  • Debugging and testing applications
  • Learning new technology
  • Collaborating
  • Asking questions
  • Working under pressure
  • Self-teaching
  • Guessing the bad guy confidently incorrectly on "Murder, She Wrote"

for fun

Here are a few games I've created recently:

rock, paper, scissors, secret fourth thing

A classic game of 'Rock, Paper, Scissors' with a secret fourth thing included. Maybe even a secret fifth thing. Created with JavaScript.

cryptograms

A puzzle game created with JavaScript that pulls random famous quotes from a third-party API and encodes them. It's your job to decode the quote and its author.

literary dropquote

A JavaScript game where your objective is to switch the letters within their columns to spell out famous literary phrases.
